The coppersmiths' lane of Baščaršija — workshops hammering coffee sets, dishes and ornaments by hand, as they have for centuries.
The narrow lane of Kazandžiluk is the ringing heart of Sarajevo's old crafts quarter, where coppersmiths still hand-hammer and engrave džezve (coffee pots), trays, plates and ornaments — some worked from spent shell casings into the city's signature souvenir. The tapping of metal is the soundtrack of Baščaršija.
