A tiny, bright-green frog with sticky toe-pads that climbs reeds and shrubs near water; its loud nighttime chorus carries far on summer evenings.
Identification & best seen
~4–5 cm; smooth bright green (can shift shade), with a dark stripe along the flank and round toe-discs.
Habitat & where to see
Reedbeds, scrub and trees near ponds, marshes and slow water.
A single male's call can be heard hundreds of metres away on a still night.
