Una Regatta

The annual mass descent of the turquoise Una — hundreds of rafts and kayaks float the river over several days of music, food and riverside parties around Bihać. The northwest's biggest summer happening.

Why: the whole river fills with boats; festival atmosphere on the banks.

Tip: book a place on a raft well ahead — it's the best way to be in the regatta, not just watching it.
